Elizabeth Gilbert: The Signature of All Things

Alma’s greatest passion is the natural world; she conducts extensive studies in evolution and yields revolutionary insights similar to those later introduced to the world by Charles Darwin. Yet Alma is not satisfied by her findings. She wants to know: Is there a scientifc explanation for humans’ desire for love?

The US-American Elizabeth Gilbert, born in Waterbury in 1969, lives and works as an author in the Hudson Valley. Her novel Eat, Pray, Love sold more than seven million copies and was translated into more than 30 languages; in 2010 it was made into a film starring Julia Roberts.
