TS Brooks is Thomas Sean Brooks, better known as front-brooder of Minmae, which has commandeered some nine full-length records and countless singles, eps, and compilation contributions that have included luminaries such as Guided by Voices' Bob Pollard, June of 44, cLOUDDEAD, Steward, and Rogue Wave among others.

Brooks' solo work, not unlike Minmae, is pensive, internalizing, and haunting. Unlike Minmae, his solo debut 'Tertiary Allotment is a Delightfulness' (a play on the aphorism, "third time's a charm"), is at once vulnerable and dauntless, exploratory and resourceful in its minimalism. Where Minmae explores new passages through colorful instrumentation, Brooks' solo work is primarily focused on colorful narratives, revealing his predilection for literary realism mixed with urban folklore.

The élan of his aural arabesques takes influence from Robyn Hitchcock, Syd Barrett, The Kinks, Dave Pierce (Flying Saucer Attack) and many English folk-psych artists before and along the way. His Anglophilic leanings merge seamlessly with his affection for American roots rockers such as Big Star, Vic Chesnutt, Karl Blau, and Richmond Fontaine.
