On The Ice/Sikumi tells the story of an Inuit hunter Apuna and his dog sledding team who set out to take on the frozen arctic. Instead of hunting seals, he witnesses a murder. Due to the small communities of the Arctic, the hunter knows both victim and the murderer. Miqu, responsible for the murder and desperate to avoid punishment, claims self-defense. In the beautiful arctic setting Apuna is forced to decide between honoring the memory of a friend and destroying the life of another.
