The Movements

Starting out playing inspired by 60´s garage rock, the Swedish band has developed with further influences from spacerock, psychedelia, punk, krautrock, pop and lots of other music.

THE MOVEMENTS formed in Göteborg, Sweden in 2001.
Starting out playing inspired by 60´s garage rock, the band has developed with further influences from spacerock, psychedelia, punk, krautrock, pop and lots of other music. Our aim is simply to play the music we´d like to hear ourselves and hope that all of you out there enjoy it as much as we do.
The Movements are a quite active live act, touring frequently around Europe. Be sure to check out often for new tourdates!

Production-wise The Movements are in cooperation with Björn Olsson. We consider him a fantastic producer, who adds a lot to our sound on record.
We have recently released our second full length album.
Plans for the coming year are touring to present our new album, plus the recording of a spacerock theme-album about swedish astronaut Christer Fuglesang, due to be released simultainiously as Fuglesang´s second space travel summer 2009.

The line-up of the band have changed a little bit over the years. Daniel "Jokkmokk" Eriksson played the bass 2001-2008 and Kalle Kulenovic played the guitar 2002-2003.
